Super popular Korean idol group SUPER JUNIOR will be coming to Taiwan next month to perform, but their subgroup SUPER JUNIOR M will be presenting their sound in Taiwan first! Carrying with them the prestige of a Golden Melody Award nomination last year, SJ-M has scheduled the release of their new mini-album “Too Perfect” for the 25th. Not only will it be issued first in Taiwan, but fans will be able to hear the song on Western Valentine’s Day on the 14th.
With this new release, there is also a brand new lineup of members, Eunhyuk and Sungmin have been added to assist with the sound, so that the new lineup numbers eight people. The record company has already made public their new comeback concept on their official website, which totally jammed up up the site network for a while. After seeing their costumes, the Western-style coats and gorgeous hats of the European aristocracy, one by one the fans were electrified silly, praising it as “too perfect.”
Because of a considerable respect for the Taiwanese market, SJ-M’s mini-album and single, both named “Too Perfect,” will, for three days in a row beginning on 14th, premiere on HitFM Radio. Hangeng Wants To Be On Stage With Super Junior if Korean Law Allows Him
At a recent press conference in Singapore held for Hangeng, a reporter asked him what his thoughts were on Leeteuk’s wish to all stand on stage together before he enlists in the army, which he revealed on MBC’s Radio Star. What was Hangeng’s reply?
Hangeng stated that he would also like to be on stage with all the members, only if the Korean law border allowed him to be and as long as the legal issues with SM Entertainment are sorted.
He also revealed that he is still in contact with two members from Super Junior, but tries not to contact them and the others too much as he does not want to cause them any trouble with the company. Hangeng continuously hopes that they all do understand his actions and reasons for doing this.
Chinese fans caught stealing social security numbers to vote for idol groups online
It has come to the attention of Korean netizens that some Chinese fans may be stealing the social security numbers of ordinary Korean citizens in order to vote online for their favorite idol groups in this year’s ‘Melon Music Awards.‘
These netizens recently took screencaps of posts on the Chinese music community site ‘Baidu‘, which contained information and tutorials on how to vote for singers for the ‘Melon Music Awards’, as well as for Korean music programs like ‘Inkigayo.‘ Shockingly, the methods they provided involved illegally using Social Security Numbers of Korean citizens. On top of that, overseas fans have also been using the social security numbers to download music on Korean music sites and buy mobile phone ringtones.
Netizens also noticed that from Super Junior’s voting statistics for the ‘Melon Music Awards’, 57% of the 28,720 votes for the group were from citizens over 40 years of age, which is an extremely unusual occurence, considering how group is mostly popular amongst fans in their teens and 20’s. Voting statistics for the remaining three groups in the top 4 for the ‘online voting’ category - SNSD, SHINeeand Jo Kwon & Ga-In - also have 16-19% of the voters being over 40 years of age.
Posts on the Baidu community site also exhibit users posting screencaps of pop-up windows that appear when they tried to use the stolen social security numbers, asking other users what it meant. The pop-up box was in fact a message from the Identity Theft Prevention Service stating that the social security has been blocked due to suspicions of identity theft.
According to the Population Registration Act Article 37, illegally stealing a social security number is a criminal act that carries a penalty of 3 years of imprisonment and a $8,700 USD fine.
